Welcome to Tour de Foyle

It's back!

Tour de Foyle 10:80

We are delighted to be back with the 6th year of the Tour de Foyle 10:80 80km Charity Cycle and 10km Run and to welcome Flogas as our corporate sponsor. Many thanks to Flogas for your support.

This year we are setting off from a new starting point in the scenic, spacious, St. Columb's Park, at the Racetrack as it's commonly known. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, it is close to Foyle Arena, but the entrance is at St. Columb's Park Road. There's a map at the Contact Us Page.

The Tour De Foyle Cycling Event has attracted participation from far and wide and we are hoping this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever. We have had such positive feedback following last years event, everyone we spoke to were full of compliments and getting such a good response really made all the hard work worthwhile.

This community event offers participants a choice of events –  10k run, or the 80k Cycle, or indeed any combination of these for the super fit amongst us.

10k Charity Run
For those of you who enjoy a challenging run, follow this route and use this as a training base for the Half Marathon? or simply come out and enjoy the run, check your best time and enjoy the finish, food and refreshments afterwards.

80K Charity Cycle
Cyclists will undertake a scenic lap of Lough Foyle. Leaving St.Columb's Park, participants will cycle to Magilligan and after a brief ‘pit stop’ will then board the Ferry across to Greencastle. The route will then proceed back to the City crossing the Peace Bridge into St Columb’s park again and finishing back at the Racetrack.

We welcome back previous participants and hope that visitors to the City will take the opportunity to experience this area of outstanding natural beauty on two wheels.

The Tour de Foyle 10-80 is all about taking part; it is a fun event and not a race. It is open to everyone, from the novice to the experts in Running or Cycling.

It is simply to bring people together from all the communities across our City and beyond. By taking part in the events you will be helping people in your own community who are experiencing difficult times in their lives and are working with the help of the North West Methodist Mission  to get things back on track.

So please help us continue to help put people’s lives back on track by getting on your bike or putting on your running shoes on Saturday 24th August 2019 and taking part in one of our events.

For those unable to participate, but who want to show their support, you can donate by contacting North West Methodist Mission at Clooney Hall, Clooney Terrace, Derry~Londonderry, BT47 6AR. Telephone 028 7134 8531
